STRATEGY - Our approach to the first stage of any project starts off with strategic planning. The strategic planning phase includes identifying objectives and goals of a project and from that creating a ”blueprint” to achieve those objectives and goals in a successful and calculated manner.
During the strategy phase, we analyze and document existing business processes that may be necessary in supporting a technological deployment.
This exercise of gathering business processes and procedures, gives us an in-depth view of the underlying technology that is already in place and being utilized to support the business.
Existing systems are categorized as either "able to support" or "unable to support" the future enhancements that will need to be deployed and integrated to support the goals of the project. All of these areas are thoroughly outlined in a Business Requirements Document (BRD) for the client to review.
The analysis of the existing systems is shared with the client as well as the recommendations necessary to either upgrade or replace the existing technology to ensure proper integration of the new deployment.
The final results are documented in the Technical Requirements Document (TRD) and delivered to the client for review.

TECHNOLOGY - During this phase, all of the analysis, documentation and strategic planning from Phase 1 is used as a “blueprint” to design, develop and integrate the necessary technology to achieve the desired results.
The documentation created during Phase 1 (BRD and TRD documents) are used as a blueprint to ensure that each technological component is built to "spec". This approach ensures that each functional component is built as intended and that the implementation of that functionality meets all necessary criteria.
As part of the process (prior to development), the interface is architected and designed to ensure all aspects are covered as it relates to “front-end” usage. Each functional component is designed to emulate the functionality that has previously been defined during the documentation process. This ensures that each application is as robust on the front end as it is on the backend. Upon completion of the interface, it is then shared with the client for approval.
After receiving approval of the front end look and feel, the interface designs are then given to the development team for programming and implementation. During the technology phase, all of the previously documented functionality is built out according to the specification documents (BRD/TRD) which are defined during Phase 1 (strategic planning).
Upon completion of the functional components, the application is then tested and verified against the BRD and TRD documents to ensure that all criteria have been met.
The application is then delivered to the staging environment to be viewed and approved by the client.
|
INTEGRATION - After client review and sign-off of the specified technology, we then move into the systems integration portion of the project.
During systems integration, the newly developed technology is then "connected" to all supporting systems such as accounting, inventory management, CRM, sales and/or operational components to finalize the installation of the developed functionality.
Additional testing is conducted to confirm that all technological components are functioning properly and that the interaction between systems has achieved the desired result. Once the system integration testing is complete, final documentation of the system is then drafted.
The final documentation is a comprehensive blueprint of the system in its entirety, including any existing platforms where the new technology has been integrated.
The final step in this process is to complete the build by launching the new functionality to a production level environment. The production level environment is what is considered to be a "live" environment where both internal (private) and external (public) users can then utilize and interact with the system.
The production level environment and newly deployed functionality is then monitored and measured to ensure that the desired results are being achieved.
